At it again! {Wellington Portrait Photography}

It's been a good few years, and I feel a bit out of practice, but I'm shooting again! I have some lovely friends here in Welly that have kindly donated their families to the cause. Well, let's put it this way - if you haven't ridden a bike in 10 years, you aren't going to win the Tour de France?! You get the jist. :)

These are some of my favourites from Sunday's outing with Lucy and her lovely little family!

I'm really looking forward to photographing more over the next few weeks! Check back for more soon!!

Shanna-Beth - Family Portraits

I don't photograph too many portraits anymore,
but nothing's better than crawling around in the grass with Shanna-Beth.

*what's hot & not

Yes, another Wednesday What's Hot and Not via the lovely Loobylu...

So Hot :

Timmy is Free Range! Since we've had him, he's been staying in the laundry room when we are not home. The last couple weeks though, we've been trialing him out and about in the house. He's been a champ! He's only gotten into a few things, but I just have to remember not to leave my wool anywhere in the house at Timmy level. Sometimes, Timmy thinks he's a cat and decides to go after balls of yarn. What a nugget!

Redesigning the website!!! *evhCreative.com.au {Portrait Photography} None of the other links work yet, but let me know what you think! I'm digging it. I'm in the process of setting up the children's portfolio, but it's so hard to narrow down all the cuties I've photographed in the past!

Melbourne Cup Day - The two horses that were randomally chosen for me did not win, but it was a good day off to hang out with friends. Thanks to Claire and Daniel for hosting a yummy BBQ down south of the Yarra.

Crocheting - I'm still working on my two massive Granny Square blankets. I've finally started putting the grey and green one together in strips. Of course, what I thought was a decent sized blanket, has now turned into a bedspread size blanket (thanks Jacob :P), which means more and more Granny Squares to go.

Starting to plan my stacation over Christmas break - All I want is sunshine and books!

The temperature. 30+ degrees C this week?? Ouch. But bring it on! I'm in some serious need of vitamin D :)

Not So Hot :

Earwigs. We've been battling them for what seems like ages now. Jacob goes out into the garden before bed to have at them, knocking them off the passionfruit plants and into a bucket of water. Anyone know any good way of getting rid of them?? They are killing off almost everything in the veggie patch as well! Yuck!

My shoulder. Yesterday morning, after sitting on my computer for about 20 minutes, redesigning my site, I sat up nice and tall and decided to stretch. Bad idea. I finally made it to lay down on the bed, but then couldn't get up. Ugh. All of the muscles from between my shoulder blades up through my neck haven't loosened yet. Thank goodness I have my Osteo tomorrow night.

*what's hot & not

I've given in to Loobylu's blog!!

What's Hot :

New yummy fabrics purchased from Dancing Queen and zippers a-plenty!

Aida finally getting a Holga! And me getting to photograph her new exhibition opening at 696! Woohoo! I'm such a good sponsor ;)

Pumpkin carving - Thanks to everyone that came Saturday night to the First Annual van Hulst Pumkpin Carving Night. I'll upload photos very soon! I promise! There was heaps of pumkpin guts everywhere and spooky glowing faces sitting on the porch... Good times!

Erin and Duncan's quickest portrait session ever! Seriously it took less than ten minutes. Sweet!

What's Not :

Realising that I missed the gallery opening for Sarah Louise Jackson at Obscura Gallery. I will get there soon! Fingers crossed!!

Allergies.

Racism on Public Tranport. Seriously. Bad news.

True Blood Season 3 isn't on until June 2010????? Very Not! Argh! Withdrawls!

*new bits and piece { Melbourne Children's Portrait Photography }

Hey hey!!

So - some new bits and pieces for Portrait sessions!!!

I'll be adding new and fabulous products as time goes on, and if anyone has any particular requests - leave a comment! :)

*Storyboards
This is one of the best ways to display your favorite images from your portrait session. Each one is custom designed and depending on the size chosen, you can pick out 3-6 images to be displayed.

Below are a couple 10 x 20 inch Storyboards. These normally come mounted and ready to hang. You can also have them unmounted if you plan on having them framed.

Other sizes available (in inches) - 5x30, 10x10, 10x20, 10x30 30x30, 40x40. If you have a specific size in mind, let me know. Storyboards begin at $230.

*Fine Art Canvas
I've seen so many versions of these in the past few years... but I still go back to the traditional process. I love these. These are made from actual photographic prints and then the emulsion is heat pressed into the raw canvas. (In my personal opinion, this is much nicer and truer than the regular inkjet prints that you see nowadays - go the old school photographic ways!!!) The canvas is then put onto a stretcher with DRings and hanging wire.

Sizes for Canvases (in inches) - 5x7, 8x10, 10x10 and standard sizes up to 40x60. Canvas Prints begin at $300.

*Gift Vouchers
I'll have some images of these soon, but Gift Vouchers are always available for Portrait Sessions and Wedding Services.Email me for more details.
