*work in progress preview

I have another piece in the works. I spent most of Sunday in my office/studio with my head to the drawing board. My poor hubbly saw me maybe twice all day long, but I feel so good about it.

I was listening to Elliot Smith for a little while when I was drawing and started thinking about my cousin who comitted suicide a few years back. I was never sure of the situation or the reasons why he did it, but when can anyone understand that. In my mind, I started to compare the phrase of 'someone came and took your peace of mind' to how he must have felt.

I looked at my drawing and started seeing peace in her eyes and I hope that is what he eventually felt. Peace.

*personality colour quiz

Mmmmm. Quizzes! Check out this colour quiz found via How about Orange (love her blog!!!!!)

Pales colours inside are for sure my thing. My lounge room at my last apartment before I moved in with my hubby, was mostly white, black, tan and reds. Black and white images framed with white matts and black frames, and another set of images in white frames....

The more I started putting my own images into my space, the more colour seems to creep in. Now I live in a house that is mostly beige and browns, but the lounge room has these bright cobalt blue couches and more colourful painting on the walls. I like to think that I am growing in my appreciation of colour.Bring it on!!!!
